Mary Dashfield, MDDR

Mary achieved her MDDr qualification from Charles University in Prague in 2018. She went on to practice dentistry at a busy NHS open access centre in the U.K. before returning to the Isle of Man in 2020. Mary has a keen interest in aesthetic & cosmetic dentistry which led her to to attend the year-long diploma program at the Tipton Training Institute in Manchester for restorative & aesthetic dentistry. While completing her diploma with Tipton Training, Mary also became a certified Invisalign provider. 

Outside work, Mary enjoys going to the gym, exploring new cultures & walking her dachshund Basil

Phillip Jones, BDS LDSRCS

Phil qualified at Birmingham University in the 1980's & worked in general practice in the West Midlands until 1992. He then moved to the Isle of Man & joined Neil Smithson at Hilary Road Dental Practice (now Dashfield Dental). After over thirty two years, Phil still remains at the practice & very much enjoys working there. After over three decades at our clinic, Phil has seen a wide range of dental problems & has a keen focus in general dentistry.  Phil is married with three grown up children & three grandchildren. He has a keen interest in photography & also enjoys many different outdoor pursuits. Phil's favourite thing to do is spend time with his family

Sophie Wood

Sophie is a dental therapist at Dashfield Dental. She graduated from The University of Edinburgh in 2015 with a first class honours degree & after completing her vocational training course in the North West of England Sophie moved to Isle of Man in 2016. 

Sophie is very passionate about dental & oral health education. She loves to help patients improve their oral health & have the best & healthiest smile they can.

In her down time Sophie enjoys relaxing, meeting friends for coffee, attending the gym, and generally going out and about on Island 

Ben

Ben has worked in dentistry since 2005, holding many positions including as a Specialist Orthodontic Nurse at Manchester Dental Hospital.

Ben graduated as a Dual Qualified Dental Hygienist & Therapist in March 2012, & has worked in both private & NHS practices. After almost ten years in the UK, Ben moved to the Isle Of Man in late 2014.

Outside of the dental setting, Ben is a keen martial artist, having trained in Kickboxing, Thai Boxing and MMA since he was a teenager. Ben is also a keen actor & has walked the stage at The Gaiety Theatre multiple times, including in the recent productions of both Macbeth and Le Miserables
